ABOUT GREGORY
Gregory, a carpenter by trade and manager by fate, moved to Prescott in 1997 to open the Home Depot. He moved from Illinois to Arizona in 1972, at the age of seven. Growing up in Phoenix, he was trained in construction by his father and has a background in Loss Prevention/ Risk Management. Soon after moving to Prescott, he met his wife. They have two daughters and continue to live in town.

Prior to his tenure as a Prescott City Councilman, Gregory served as Vice Chair of Prescott's Board of Adjustments and Planning and Zoning. While he served on Council from 2013-2017, he was also liaison to Community Development Block Grants, Prescott Downtown Partnership, Chamber of Commerce, and Planning and Zoning. After his time on council, Gregory remained active for five years as a chairman of the District Hospital Board. As well as serving on the Board of Directors of Prescott’s World’s Oldest Rodeo, the Celtic Society Board, Sacred Heart Pastoral Council and a Republican Precinct Committeeman.

Currently, Gregory is on the Board of 100 Men Who Care, he is a member of Yavapai County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse and owner of Lazzell Construction. Gregory is an advocate for the private, quiet life and would like to bring much needed balance, experience and fresh perspective to Prescott City Council. When he isn’t giving his time to those that need it, you can find him in his backyard gardening and working on numerous house projects.

Gregory is choosing to step back into our City Council scene to reshape the current dynamic. At the moment, there is a distinct imbalance, with a vocal minority exercising disproportionate influence. He believes there needs to be transparent and informed decisions made, especially concerning regional cooperation, transportation, and our roads. With his help there could be a more common sense and representative approach to our city's governance.
